Labcorp is seeking to hire a Director, Pharma Partnering - Precision Oncology to support and drive Labcorp’s Enterprise Oncology drug development sales initiatives. This role presents a unique opportunity to contribute to the discovery and development of targeted and immuno-therapies through commercialization of Labcorp’s differentiated precision oncology testing portfolio including solid tumor and immune profiling, liquid biopsy and hematological testing platforms.

**As such, the role consists of the following responsibilities**:

- Implement, oversee and support joint Labcorp-client initiatives and strategy
- Develop strategic commercial plans for closing new business with new and existing pharma partners, increasing oncology precision medicine product adoption and expanding market share, demonstrated by a qualified pipeline of opportunities
- Master technical and market knowledge related to biomarker driven oncology drug development, including the competitive landscape, industry practices and trends, including marketplace strategies and tactics
- Manages a full cycle sales process from prospecting to closing and delivery, involving partner engagement, relationship development, contract negotiation and alliance management
- Ability to develop new and existing business through all stages of the drug development continuum, from early development and biomarker discovery, clinical development and through peri
- and post-approval; including experience with CDx and IVD co-development
- Determine expected returns on potential contracts, estimates of market potential, and necessary investment to successfully engage leading strategic accounts. Develop and communicate accurate sales forecasts that allow executive leadership to effectively capitalize and maximize opportunities, manage issues and measure performance
- Achieves annual sales plan and sales targets for assigned accounts through proactive sales activity and networking with assigned potential and existing accounts
- Sells the business unit’s capabilities and differentiation frameworks
- Responsible for Opportunity Management and accurate pipeline forecasting
- Identifies specific client needs that can be developed into new opportunities both within the business and for other business units
- Recognizes and communicates sales opportunities for other business units
- Provides weekly sales activity reports to management

**Breakdown of Duties**:

- **Client Engagement & Partnership Development (70%)**
- Connecting with Pharma stakeholders identifying demand and opportunity
- Presenting Labcorp value proposition and integration of precision oncology assets
- Developing/expanding pharma partnerships
- ** Commercial Program/Strategic Development (20%)**
- Evaluate pharma pipeline synergies with Labcorp precision oncology assets
- Identify bundles synergies with associated Labcorp assets (testing solutions, services, data, etc.)
- Evaluate biomarker trends, oncology clinical trial landscape and market dynamics
- ** Stakeholder Management (10%)**
- Collaborating with Labcorp stakeholders to align and deploy new programs

**Experience**:

- A minimum of 10 years of professional experience in oncology, specifically in the biopharmaceutical, diagnostic/precision medicine, or clinical trials industry required
- A minimum of 5 years in sales/business development, project management, or alliance management required
- Bachelor’s degree required; MS/PhD in the life sciences preferred
- Industry experience in molecular biology, genomics, molecular diagnostics with NGS (Next Generation Sequencing) technology experience
- Deep domain expertise of biomarker driven drug discovery and development, including clinical research, clinical development and IVD/CDx development
- Excellent knowledge of oncology, hematology, chemotherapeutics, immunoncology and targeted agents
- Demonstrated measurable revenue generation at either a Dx, Pharma or Biotech company
- Demonstrated knowledge of, access to, and the ability to influence all key stakeholders in targeted accounts (pharma drug development and leadership)
- Demonstrated experience in a consultative selling process with the ability to overcome objections and indifferences
- Fluency in spoken & written English required
- Ability to travel up to 50% domestically
