**Responsibilities**:

- Be the Deputy MLRO for Germany and support the MLRO to ensure compliance with German AML law and corresponding regulations;
- Performing the AML risk assessment for the German entity;
- Continuously monitor the legal landscape on AML, initiate change and ensure continuous development of the function to ensure adherence to domestic laws and regulations;
- Design and implement of 2nd LoD controls Periodic review of policies and adaptation to changed needs coming from regulators, laws or to improve function;
- Performing AML trainings for the German entity;
- Taking care of the transaction monitoring, customer onboarding and escalation process;
- Responsible for closing findings from internal and external supervision bodies;
- Working with FIU, Criminal Authorities and monitoring the SAR process;
- Preparation of the relevant AML reporting;
- Cooperation with other functions within the group;
- Preparation of and liaison with internal and external audits of the money laundering function;
- Responsibility for the continuous development of internal policies, work procedures and processes.

**Requirements**:

- At least 3 - 4 years experience in a similar role with clear focus on the financial service industry;
- Strong knowledge of banking and AML laws, regulations and directives;
- Experience in working with FIU and domestic criminal authorities needed;
- FinTech Experience will be a plus;
- Hands-on and efficient, be a self starter and overtake accountability;
- Team player and strong personality;
- Strong communication, ability to be flexible in a variety of situations, excellent relationship maintenance and sales skills, able to work under pressure;
- Passionate about crypto. Industry experience would be a plus;
- ** Fluent English and German is a must.**
