SAP is founding a new company to deliver a vendor and solution-neutral sovereign cloud to accelerate the digital transformation of public services in Germany. Catering to the need for digitization in the public sector, the new company will act as a trusted partner providing an open sovereign cloud platform. With Sovereignty and Security at its heart, the cloud infrastructure offering is designed to meet the strict and unique national requirements set out by the German Government’s multi-cloud strategy.

**What you'll do**

As Head of Operations, your goal will be to set up, design and run an operations organization in an environment of major national relevance. You will report directly to C-level management. The position is responsible for the end-to-end technical operations processes of the Sovereign Cloud business. This includes
- End-2-end Operations responsibility
- Demand Management
- Capacity Management
- Infrastructure Provisioning
- Infrastructure Operations
- Datacenter Operations
- (Partially) 1st and 2nd Level Support
- Service Management also for 3rd party providers, like
- Co-Location provider
- Infrastructure provider
- Specialized operations provider
- Budget and cost responsibility
- Personnel responsibility
- Establish, continuously develop, and steer the Operations Organization

**What you bring**

Profile &

**Required Skills**:

- Readiness for a German government security clearance
- EU citizenship
- Profound knowledge in public services industry in Germany
- Fluent German and English language skills both written and oral
- Readiness to work in the to-be-founded SAP subsidiary
- Datacenter, Infrastructure, Cloud operations and technology professional background
- Experience in organizational development and leadership
- Experience in compliance aspects of IT Security and Data Protection
- Entrepreneurial thinking

Preferred Skills
- Financial management
- Accountability for results
- Experience in Business Development is a plus

Work experience
- 10 years experience in management roles in Cloud business
- Strong experience with Cloud operations and Cloud technology of the market dominant Hyperscalers
- Strong experience with service management towards partners
- 5 years experience with the German public industry
- 3 years experience with C-level communication
