**How You’ll Make an Impact**
- Conduct literature study
- Gain a deep understanding of electrolysis systems
- Familiarize with the finite element software COMSOL Multiphysics®
- Construct a representative, parametric 3D volume element with fiber reinforcement
- Identify a suitable model with appropriate boundary conditions including an adequate contact definition
- Evaluate the model with experimental data
- Document your results by writing and submitting your thesis
**What You Bring**
- Currently enrolled in a University in Mechanical Engineering, Material Engineering, Computational Engineering, Physics or any other similar fields
- Good understanding of structural mechanics and/or the finite element method
- Previous experience in finite element simulation is a plus
- High level of motivation to work in the field of electrolysis
- Ability and willingness to learn new fields
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and German
- Ability to work independently and with high internal motivation in a dynamic environment
- Committed to personal development and continuous improvement
