At the** Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Social Science, Institute of Philosophy**, the **Chair of**
**Theoretical Philosophy** offers a project position within the framework of the DFG project
"Acceptance: Nature and Norms" as

**Research Associate / Postdoc** (M/F/x)***

starting **October 1, 2023**. The position is limited until September 30, 2026. The period of employment
is governed by - 2 (2) Fixed Term Research Contracts Act (Wissenschaftszeitvertragsgesetz
- WissZeitVG). The position offers the chance to obtain further academic qualification (usually
habilitation thesis).

The project **"**Acceptance: Nature and Norms" investigates the concept of acceptance as it is used in
philosophical debates in analytical epistemology, analytical philosophy of language, and decision
theory.

**Tasks**:

- academic collaboration in the mentioned research project and writing academic publications
- on study findings,- project coordination and support for project management,
- independent research contributing to the theory of acceptance in the mentioned field of

study.

**Requirements**:

- excellent university (Master's or equivalent) and PhD degree in the field of philosophy,
- demonstrated knowledge in analytical epistemology, philosophy of language, or decision- teamwork, communication skills, and initiative,
- proficiency in written English.
