Responsibilities Implement short-term plans and identify strategic objectives to set performance goals and fulfill the facility’s mission and strategic plans. Manage all resources of the business unit to successfully deliver results in terms of quality, cost, safety, and service. Develop high-performing work teams to effectively meet the changing needs of the company by motivating, organizing, and promoting teamwork within the workforce to ensure productivity targets are met. Use standard work instructions to troubleshoot and resolve problems. Conduct daily status meetings with the management team to review the previous day’s performance, develop action plans for the day, and determine daily staffing levels for the department. Conduct weekly staffing reviews to determine proper staffing levels for operational departments. Report statistics daily, weekly, and monthly to team leaders. Support safety programs to reduce or eliminate employee injuries. Conduct employee coaching and annual performance reviews. Develop action plans for conducting internal analyses and gap identification; review current or future trends indicating potential gaps in inbound or outbound functions or staffing; and provide recommendations based on findings. Develop productivity improvement plans for each performance indicator or identified improvement areas. Monitor departmental budgets monthly and support the development of budgets for operational functions. Manage direct/indirect costs incurred during warehouse operations, including warehouse labor costs, and negotiate and settle costs with management and logistics service providers (LSPs). Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain, or equivalent experience required. More than 10 years of logistics experience required. 3+ years of warehouse management experience required. Required experience with KPI management, inventory locations, inventory accuracy, inventory consistency, and inventory availability. Experience and ability to collaborate with the distribution center, supply chain team, and carriers to resolve inbound/outbound shipment issues required. Ability to expedite emergency requests. Ability to analyze and report recommendations and results related to operations. Excellent verbal and written communication skills to ensure effective communication with stakeholders, including timely and accurate ad-hoc reports and analyses. Ability to maintain building operations to meet all regulatory obligations, including but not limited to OSHA and other governmental regulations. Physical requirements: This position requires the ability to speak and hear while performing job duties. The position requires the ability to stand, walk, use hands for handling or feeling, and reach with hands and arms. The position requires dexterity to write and use a computer keyboard and mouse.
