Investment bank in Frankfurt, with a strong franchise across public markets, is seeking a senior Compliance Advisory professional to lead and further develop its advisory function. This is a high-impact leadership role for someone who wants to be close to the business, influence decision-making at the highest level, and shape the compliance agenda in a dynamic, regulated environment. The Opportunity You will take ownership of Compliance Advisory for a complex, fast-moving platform covering public markets activities. Acting as a trusted partner to front office and senior management, you will help the business grow responsibly while maintaining the highest regulatory and ethical standards. This role offers: Genuine strategic influence, not just oversight Daily interaction with senior stakeholders and front office leadership The chance to build, shape, and lead a high-performing advisory function Exposure to European and global regulatory frameworks within a sophisticated investment banking environment Key Responsibilities Lead Compliance Advisory coverage for public markets activities Provide pragmatic, commercially minded regulatory advice to front office, risk, and senior management Act as a key point of escalation for complex regulatory matters Interpret and implement European regulatory requirements (e.g. MiFID II, MAR, market conduct) Engage confidently with regulators and internal governance forums Set the tone, direction, and standards for the Compliance Advisory function Mentor and develop team members, fostering a strong compliance culture The Ideal Profile Significant experience in Compliance Advisory within an investment bank or comparable financial institution Strong understanding of public markets / capital markets activities Comfortable operating at senior management and board level Known for balancing regulatory rigor with commercial pragmatism Leadership experience, or clear readiness to step into a lead role Fluent English required; German advantageous but not essential Why This Role?
