Offshore Wind Towers and Foundations Design Manager

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Wind Towers and Foundations Design Manager to lead the structural design and engineering of offshore and onshore wind turbine support structures. This role involves overseeing the design process, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to optimize foundation and tower performance for onshore and offshore wind projects as well as designing the tower-foundations interfaces. Key Responsibilities: Develop, lead and manage the design of onshore and offshore wind turbine towers and interfaces with foundations, including ofshore fixed-bottom and floating structures as well as onshore foundations. Oversee structural analysis and load calculations to optimize design solutions. Ensure compliance with international codes and standards (e.g., DNV, IEC, ISO, API, Eurocodes) and regulatory requirements. Collaborate with internal teams, contractors, and external stakeholders to develop innovative, cost-effective, and technically sound designs. Conduct technical risk assessments and propose mitigation strategies. Represent the company in technical interactions with customers and projects related to the towers design and foundations interfaces. Manage and review design documentation, technical reports, and engineering deliverables. Work closely with procurement and fabrication teams to ensure manufacturability and constructability of designs. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers. Grow and develop key technical competencies within the team. Support bid preparations and feasibility studies for new offshore wind projects. Stay up to date with advancements in offshore wind technology and industry best practices. Qualifications & Experience: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline. Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in offshore wind foundation and tower design. Proficiency in structural analysis software (e.g., SESAM, SACS, ANSYS, Abaqus, FAST, Bladed) and geotechnical modeling tools. Strong understanding of material selection, fatigue analysis, and hydrodynamic loading. Experience working with multidisciplinary teams, including structural and fabrication specialists. Proven track record of delivering offshore wind projects from concept to detailed design. Excellent problem-solving, project management, and communication skills. Knowledge of fabrication and installation methodologies for offshore wind structures is an advantage. This applies to fixed and floating foundations as well. Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects.
