We are working with a recently established private equity investor, formed by a distinguished German family that has secured a fund of EUR 500 million. With a history of deeply entrepreneurial pursuits and extensive experience in executing deals, they aim to invest in robust, progressively expanding mid-market firms within the agricultural technology, nutrition, and healthcare sectors. Their strategy revolves around a pan-European consolidation approach. The organization collaborates with management teams to grow businesses to the next tier.
This emerging client offers significant opportunities for team expansion and deal activities backed by a guaranteed yearly cash flow. Its entrepreneurial framework facilitates swift and adaptable procedures, encourages low-hierarchical team decision-making, and allows for flexibility in deal quantity and individual ticket sizes.
In the expansion of their team in Hamburg, our partner is currently seeking a dynamic Investment Manager. With substantial responsibilities right from the outset, you will play a direct role across all phases of the investment cycle in this position, actively engaging in comprehensive due diligence processes leading up to deal closure. - You will take the lead in the execution of new deals as well as in the management of new portfolio companies
- Identifying and evaluating potential investment opportunities for the firm, significant responsibility for all aspects of the deal life cycle from origination to closing
- Financial and market analysis and execution of all relevant due diligence workstreams
- Acting as an ambassador for the firm and collaborating with management teams once investments are completed
- Top level academic background
- Strong transactional background from a strategy consultancy and buy side experience or relevant similar industry experience
- Experience in the life sciences or healthcare industry
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to connect with management teams
- Strong financial analysis skills and excellent commercial judgement
- Dynamic, entrepreneurial, and ambitious approach, consistent with the rest of the team
- Fluent German and English skills are required
