Prior to that, we raised two funding rounds backed by several renowned VCs — and we’ve been growing rapidly ever since.Your mission as Head of Risk (m/f/d) will be to empower company’s growth by leading a high-performing risk team, making smart and secure credit decisions, closely monitoring the credit portfolio, protecting it through strong fraud prevention and collections and shaping agile risk processes and policies for the future.Tasks GeneralYou will have overall strategic and operational responsibility for the risk department, which includes credit underwriting and anti-fraud measures, credit portfolio management as well as risk policies and complianceDevelop, implement and continuously improve risk policies, instructions and guidelines to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practicesDrive efficiency by streamlining risk processes and automating decision-making workflows where possibleBuilding, leading and coaching a scalable risk team, fostering a high-performance and collaborative cultureBring the risk department to the next level Introduce a new form of risk based pricing, implement AI tools and applications, develop risk scores and innovate new forms of collateralYou are responsible to design and implement new things from scratch and not to optimize the last 5%. You take ownership to make things happenCredit Underwriting & Anti-Fraud MeasuresOversee sound credit underwriting processes of both B2B and B2C and ensure that credit risk decisions are in alignment with the company’s risk policy and authority levelsImplement, monitor and enforce robust anti-fraud measures to protect the business and customersCredit Portfolio ManagementActively monitor and manage the company’s credit portfolio, with a focus on installer partner performance and overall exposure levelsIdentify early warning signals and proactively address risks associated with credit quality and partner performanceRequirementsMultiple years of professional experience in a risk management role, ideally in start-ups, scale-ups or fintechs, with proven expertise in building and leading risk teams as well as in the strategic development of risk departmentsIn-depth knowledge of credit portfolio monitoring and debt collectionsStrong understanding of credit underwriting of both B2B and B2C, fraud prevention and risk management best practicesExperience leading and developing high-performing teams in a fast-paced environmentGood knowledge of Taktile would be a plusFamiliarity with regulatory requirements in the fintech field and ability to design policies that ensure complianceStrong analytical skills with experience in credit risk models and data analysisYou are a hands-on person, who likes to get operationally involved while keeping an eye on the strategic master plan at the same timeWhat we offerGuaranteed impact: Every deal your team closes contributes directly to the energy transition and saves at least dozens of tons of CO₂ emissions.27 days of paid vacation and unlimited time off for climate activism and demonstrations.Keep learning — continuously explore the latest climate tech developments, from cutting-edge energy storage solutions to innovative recycling methods or heat recovery from wastewater.No progress without mistakes.
