Your tasks

As a (Senior) Business Development Representative (m/w/d) at Bots & People, you will be:

  • Cold-calling potential customers (yes, cold calls, if you hate that, don't apply for this role) to identify their needs and assess whether our solution could fit them.
  • Experiment with different outreach tactics, such as email, LinkedIn, automated outreach, event-based outreach, creative outreach strategies, etc., to find the best outreach-market fit.
  • Working closely with our Account Executives to strengthen our sales pipeline.
  • Visit regularly market-leading events in the Edtech and digital transformation space.
  • Collaborate with our growth team, optimize the inbound lead workflow, and contact hot leads.
Your profile
  • You are comfortable working in a fast-paced and constantly changing environment: As proof of this we expect you to bring 2+ years of experience at a scale-up (anything from 30 to 200) or in management consulting, or to convince us why this doesn’t matter
  • You are a clear and effective communicator: You are comfortable using Slack and Asana to plan, manage, and execute projects keeping the right stakeholders informed and addressing prioritization needs and tensions as they come up. You enjoy having meaningful conversations with people and you act as a sparring partner for potential customers, rather than a straightforward seller
  • You demonstrate ownership: You have the ambition and drive to close deals. You bring your own topics to every agenda and follow through on commitments. You don't just identify problems but also propose solutions.
  • You are fluent in German and English: Due to the nature of the role, this is an absolute must
  • You are comfortable with rejection: That's the daily reality of BDR life - you will not be happy in this role if you don't already have this mentality
  • Bonus: Any prior knowledge or interest in process automation, as well as any prior knowledge or experience with Winning by Design, is a plus
