Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid role for an Operations Manager at MONOM. The Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations, managing projects and budgets, coordinating logistics, and ensuring efficient workflows. This role is ideal for someone ready to wear multiple hats, from assisting the directors to event production and internal process management to logistics and social media coordination. We are looking for an Operations Manager who combines robust leadership skills with meticulous attention to detail and a hands-on approach to support our projects.


This role is primarily based in Berlin, Germany, with flexibility for some remote work.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational Leadership: Oversee daily operations to ensure projects align with strategic objectives, maintaining high standards of execution.
  • Comprehensive Support Duties: Manage logistics for events, including catering and on-site coordination, and provide direct support during productions to ensure seamless operations.
  • Dynamic Role: Adapt to a variety of tasks as needed, ensuring flexibility and the ability to pivot between roles including event production, logistical coordination, and digital communication management.
  • Financial Administration: Manage budget planning and expense tracking to ensure project financial health.
  • Internal Coordination: Optimize team workflow and productivity through effective scheduling and resource management.
  • Shipping and Contracting: Oversee all aspects of shipping and contracting, ensuring timely and cost-effective solutions.
  • Project Management Support: Assist the Directors of MONOM with monitoring project progress, reporting, managing internal deadlines, and budget adherence.
  • Social Media and Communications: Oversee digital content creation, social media and website updates, and newsletters enhancing the organization's online presence.


Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Must be based in Berlin, with a willingness to travel as needed.
  • Fluent in German and English.
  • Experienced in managing operations within a creative or production-oriented environment.
  • Highly adaptable, capable of multitasking and thriving in a dynamic setting.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to support a diverse team and maintain stakeholder relationships.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Knowledge of budgeting and financial management
  • Proficiency in Google Drive, Canva and project management tools like Trello, Miro, Calendly, Later, etc.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
  • Experience in the arts or creative industry is a plus
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, or at least three years of proven experience in production or operations roles.
