SiC Manufacturing Engineer

Senior SiC Manufacturing Engineer - Germany
You will be joining a leading technology company at their advanced manufacturing facility near Munich.
Responsibilities:
- Transition new SiC products and processes from prototype stages to large-scale production.
- Enhance process stability by minimizing defects and improving yield and reliability during qualification.
- Develop alternative processes to expand process windows and increase manufacturability.
- Create and maintain trend and control charts to detect and correct out-of-control processes.
- Set up production equipment and assist operators with engineering support as needed.
- Collaborate with the process engineering team to design and conduct DOE experiments.
- Take ownership of processes, overseeing daily operations, equipment troubleshooting, and mentoring technicians.
- Manage documentation for assigned tasks and provide technical support for SiC technologies.
Qualifications:
- Master’s or Ph.D. in a relevant technical field, preferably related to microelectronics, or equivalent experience.
- Over 5 years of experience in SiC processing, particularly within a SiC wafer fabrication environment, with expertise in one or more areas such as Etching & Cleaning, Oxidation & Annealing, Thin Film Deposition, or Implantation.
- Strong understanding of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Design of Experiments (DOE).
- Proficiency in documentation systems and basic data analysis tools.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills at the system, process, and equipment levels, with a hands-on approach and strong sense of ownership.
- Strong communication and presentation skills in English; proficiency in German and/or Chinese is an advantage.
- Strategic thinker with an organized and independent work style.
- Effective team player in a diverse, multicultural environment.
- Proactive and willing to step outside of the comfort zone.
- Open to international travel and assignments.
