Global EHS Manager

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Global Head of Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) to lead and oversee our global EHS strategy. This critical role will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing EHS policies and programs across all our global operations. The candidate should have a proven track record in setting global safety strategies, occupational health concepts, and ensuring compliance with international standards.


Your role:

  • You develop, implement, and maintain global EHS policies, procedures, and guidelines in compliance with international standards and regulations.
  • You lead the development and execution of a comprehensive global safety strategy aimed at minimizing risks and ensuring a safe working environment across all locations.
  • You create and oversee occupational health programs to promote the well-being of employees, including mental health initiatives, ergonomic assessments, and health surveillance.
  • You identify and assess potential EHS risks, implement mitigation strategies, and ensure continuous improvement through audits, inspections, and incident investigations.
  • You design and implement EHS training programs to educate employees and leaders on safety practices, emergency response, and regulatory compliance.
  • You monitor global regulatory changes and ensure all EHS practices adhere to local, national, and international laws and standards.
  • You develop and maintain EHS performance metrics, provide regular reports to senior management, and recommend improvements based on data analysis.
  • You work closely with cross-functional teams, including HR, Operations, and Facilities, to integrate EHS initiatives into business processes.
  • You are responsible for our EHS department at a global level (incl. people development)

Your profile:

  • You have completed studies in natural science, technical engineering (e.g. environmental) or relevant field
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in an EHS role, with at least 3 years in a leadership role
  • Strong knowledge of international EHS regulations, standards, and best practices.
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing global EHS strategies and policies.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
