My client is an industry-leading renewable energy company committed to driving the global transition to sustainable energy. Specializing in the development, construction, and operation of wind farms, Their innovative solutions and cutting-edge technologies position them at the forefront of the renewable energy sector. They are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to join their team, focusing on the construction phase of their large-scale wind farm projects across Europe.


Job Description:

As a Senior Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the successful delivery of multi-million-euro wind farm projects. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the construction phase, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety. You will collaborate closely with various stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies, to ensure seamless project execution.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Leadership: Provide strategic direction and leadership throughout the construction phase of wind farm projects, ensuring alignment with project goals and company objectives.
  • Comprehensive Planning: Develop and implement detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation, to ensure efficient project execution.
  • Budget Oversight: Manage project budgets exceeding €600 million, ensuring financial targets are met and expenditures are controlled.
  • Stakeholder Management: Engage with stakeholders at all levels, fostering strong relationships and ensuring clear, consistent communication and coordination.
  • Team Management: Lead and motivate a multidisciplinary project team, promoting a collaborative and results-driven work environment.
  • Risk Management: Proactively identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to address challenges and ensure project continuity.
  • Quality and Compliance: Ensure all construction activities adhere to industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies, maintaining a strong focus on quality and safety.
  • Performance Reporting: Regularly report on project progress, financial status, and any issues encountered, providing accurate and timely updates to senior management and stakeholders.


Qualifications:

  • Experience: At least 8 years of project management experience, specifically in the construction phase of large-scale wind farm projects (onshore or offshore) with budgets exceeding €600 million.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Renewable Energy, Project Management, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications in project management (e.g., PMP) are highly desirable.
  • Language Proficiency: Fluent in both English and German, with exceptional written and verbal communication skills in both languages.
  • Technical Expertise: Deep understanding of wind farm construction processes, technologies, and industry best practices.
  • Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead, manage, and inspire project teams to achieve high performance and successful project outcomes.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive and solution-oriented approach.
  • Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
