THE ROLE & THE TEAM

As a Data & Process Controlling Manager in the Data & Performance team at Zalando's in-house Content Production Studio, you will support innovation and decision making by delivering insights on data and processes based on your analysis. In this role, you will create reports and dashboards to support your stakeholders and provide transparency. Furthermore, using the data you will highlight potential process issues, investigate and transform those into valuable insights for the entire business. You consult with your stakeholders to identify and overcome process bottlenecks, suggest state of the art automation solutions where applicable, and closely monitor the resulting initiatives.

We have generated a vast amount of data throughout the fashion ecosystem. All the gathered data is being used to solve new business cases, to understand and serve customers better. You will have the possibility to exploit the available data and to drive real business impact for the studio.

Please note that this is a fixed term contract until December 2025.

WHAT WE'D LOVE YOU TO DO (AND LOVE DOING)

  • Carry out deep dive analysis to drive business decisions and strategy.
  • Create reports and dashboards, identify opportunities and issues, and present findings to stakeholders.
  • Support stakeholders in identifying and analyzing loops, bottlenecks or other inefficiencies and jointly suggest approaches to overcome them also using state of the art automation solutions where applicable.
  • Help to define and iterate KPIs that help us to steer and evaluate our strategy.
  • Conduct ad-hoc analyses of low & high complexity.
  • Identify improvement opportunities and monitor and report on resulting initiatives in order to drive continuous process improvement and create a positive business value impact at Zalando Content Solutions.
  • Automate reports using SQL and Python to reduce manual workload.

WE'D LOVE TO MEET YOU IF

  • Strong growth mindset, good communication skills and a highly collaborative and pragmatic approach to tasks.
  • Experience with process mining solutions (Celonis, ProcessGold, Disco, etc.) and data visualization.
  • Degree with an analytical focus (Statistics, Mathematics, Business Informatics, Controlling, etc.).
  • Experience in an analytical role, ideally in a digital business, consultancy or market research (Preferably 2+ years).
  • Advanced knowledge in SQL.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to analyze data, interpret results, and present findings to stakeholders.
  • Ability to break down complex problems with logical and easy to understand frameworks, paired with the ability to identify, retrieve, and process the needed data.
  • Knowledge in Python and Celonis (PQL) are a big plus.
  • Ability to create and implement innovative technical concepts to solve practical multidisciplinary challenges.
  • Strong stakeholder communication.
