Role Description

The Special Projects & Business Operations Manager is a versatile and dynamic role, critical to the smooth functioning of GM Data Centers AG. This individual will handle a range of administrative, operational, and project-based responsibilities, ensuring the efficiency and organization of the business. They will independently drive special projects that advance the company’s goal, manage essential back-office tasks and support leadership with ad hoc needs. Additionally, this role includes managing sponsorships and negotiations with partners, making it an excellent fit for someone passionate about startups, Bitcoin, and operational excellence.


Key Responsibilities

Operational Management
  • Manage mail handling, ensuring correspondence is organized and addressed promptly.
  • Oversee pre-bookkeeping for various entities, ensuring all financial records are accurate and up to date.
  • Coordinate supplier relationships, ensuring smooth delivery of services and supplies.
  • Handle access management for internal tools and team members, including onboarding processes for new hires.
Special Projects
  • Conduct R&D projects to explore new mining opportunities, evaluate potential locations, and perform due diligence on partners.
  • Assist with preparing presentations and materials for internal and external stakeholders, supporting leadership initiatives.
  • Collaborate on creating documents and reports for new mining projects or strategic company initiatives.
Event & Conference Management
  • Organize local events (e.g., sales, marketing, or team-building events) and manage logistics for smooth execution.
  • Take ownership of conference planning, including booking venues, coordinating attendance, and organizing materials.
  • Negotiate sponsorship deals and manage relationships with event organizers, ensuring the company’s visibility and cost-efficiency.
  • Manage partnerships and negotiate deals with potential and existing partners to drive mutually beneficial outcomes.
Tool & Process Management
  • Manage and integrate tools like Active Campaign, Notion, and Google Suite, ensuring seamless operation and collaboration across teams.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to optimize operational processes and enhance efficiency.


Qualifications

Educational & Professional Background
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Hospitality, Operations, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in operations, administrative management, or project coordination, preferably in a startup environment.
Skills & Competencies
  • Organizational Excellence: Exceptional ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and maintain attention to detail.
  • Problem-Solving: Proactive and resourceful, capable of solving problems independently.
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills in German and English; Spanish is a plus.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficient in Google Suite, Active Campaign, Notion, and general office software.
  • Event Management: Demonstrated experience in organizing events and conferences, including negotiation and sponsorship deals.
  • Flexibility & Adaptability: Thrives in a fast-paced environment and can pivot quickly to address urgent needs.
  • Passion for Bitcoin and Startups: Deep understanding of and alignment with the company’s vision and mission.
