Location: Mönchengladbach, Germany

Hybrid role (50% onsite)

German - Fluent Written and speaking is a must


Note: This is a strategic leadership position which execute business application strategy to drive operational excellence.


Job Summary:

The Manager Application Services is responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality services across all business areas and maintaining positive relationships with stakeholders. They oversee the implementation of change management processes, identify opportunities for optimizing operating costs, and manage service providers to ensure agreed-upon support and service levels are met. Additionally, they monitor productive systems, define processes for configurations and tests, and ensure solution integration and consistency across modules and systems. Continuous improvement of IT services, maintenance of documentation, coordination of audits and disaster recovery plans, and provision of necessary patches are also part of the role. The Manager Application Services leads and motivates subordinate employees, participates in administrative personnel matters, and determines training needs for the team.


Requirements:


  • Bachelor's/Diploma/Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
  • Extensive experience in Application Support and Services
  • Proficiency in SAP modules (SD, JIT/JIS, PP, WM) with at least 10 years of experience
  • Experience in team leadership and project management
  • Knowledge of IT Service Management and IT Security preferred
  • Understanding of automotive industry processes
  • Experience in managing service providers
  • Strong communication skills in English and German
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
