As a rapidly expanding industry leader, our client is actively seeking to enter the German market.
The Role
The Managing Director (MD) will serve as a pivotal senior executive responsible for driving the strategic direction, operational management, and financial performance of the organisation. This role ensures the delivery of high-quality healthcare services, compliance with regulatory standards, and achievement of financial and growth objectives. The MD will act as a business leader, spearheading market entry initiatives and engaging with key global stakeholders to support the launch and expansion of our client’s operations in Germany.
Key Responsibilities Include
- Develop the Go to Market Strategy for the German Market
- Execute on launch of services
- Oversight of clinicians and clinical leads in relevant fields
- Development and execution of strategic plans to drive growth and sustainability
- Identification of new business opportunities and expansion of service offerings
- Alignment of strategic objectives with industry trends and market demands
- Collaboration across departments including regulatory affairs, product development, partnerships, and commercial teams to optimise patient outcome strategies integrated within clinical development programs, supporting patient access, pricing, and reimbursement
- Work with global teams in established markets to bring resources and tools to support the German market
- Input into technology platform development and commercial discussions engagement with partnerships team to cultivate relationships with key opinion leaders
- Review and final approval of external-facing materials (website content, press releases, etc.)
- In-depth knowledge maintenance of the medical cannabis landscape within Germany and globally for commercial and regulatory purposes
- Leadership as appropriate for the safe and effective service delivery
- Participation in marketing and PR activities under approval from the line manager
Skills, Experience, and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred)
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in relevant industries and environments, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership role, with demonstrated leadership in medical team management
- Previous experience in healthcare, B2B, D2C or related industries and business models, with exposure across digital marketing, tech/product, retention strategies, data & fulfilment
- Insights into German Medical Cannabis regulation a plus
- A proven track record of driving significant revenue growth and a deep understanding of the requirements of a hyper-growth business is a must
- Highly analytical and commercial mindset with the ability to leverage data to drive decision-
- making
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, and experience as a public speaker/presenter
- 10+ years of professional experience, with demonstrated leadership in medical team management
