About the Role

Algaeing™ is on the lookout for an experienced and dynamic Head of Business and Growth to spearhead our strategic business development, growth initiatives, and sales efforts. This key position is central to advancing our mission, amplifying our impact, and broadening our market reach. The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in the fashion and textile industry, a proven track record in business development and sales, and a fervent passion for sustainable innovation.


Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Business Development: Develop and implement overarching business strategies to foster growth, increase market share, and boost brand visibility.
  • Sales Leadership: Lead all sales efforts, defining and achieving sales targets, developing sales strategies, and managing customer relationships to drive revenue growth.
  • Growth Metrics and KPIs: Set, track, and report on critical growth metrics and KPIs, aligning them with the company’s strategic goals and financial objectives.
  • Partnership Development: Establish strategic partnerships and collaborations with key industry players, including manufacturers and brands, to leverage synergistic growth opportunities.
  • Team Leadership: Cultivate a high-performing business and sales team, providing direction, motivation, and training to align their efforts with the company's growth strategies.
  • Product and Market Alignment: Collaborate with the Product and R&D teams to ensure the product roadmap is attuned to market demands and supports the company’s growth ambition.
  • Market Expansion: Scout and assess new market opportunities for geographic and sector expansion, promoting Algaeing™'s innovative solutions to a wider audience.


Requirements and Skills
  • Min 5 years experience in business development and sales within the fashion and textile industry, demonstrating a successful track record of scaling businesses and penetrating new markets.
  • Strong entrepreneurial mindset with strategic thinking and analytical capabilities, adept at turning market insights into effective growth strategies.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire, mentor, and align a team towards achieving business goals.
  • Superior communication and interpersonal abilities, capable of building and maintaining strong relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Deep commitment to sustainability and innovation, with a keen understanding of the textile industry’s unique challenges and opportunities.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to drive business development, sales efforts, and foster partnerships.
