About theRole

As the Head of Food Safety and QualityAssurance (QA), you will be at the forefront of commercializing ourRobotic Kitchen, ensuring that each step in our process upholds thehighest standards in food safety and quality. Working acrossengineering, culinary, and procurement teams, you will oversee theentire lifecycle of our products, from ingredient sourcing torobotic preparation, setting a new standard for autonomous foodsafety.


Your DailyBusiness

  • RegulatoryCompliance & Standards: Partner with developmentteams and regulatory agencies to ensure food safety and qualitystandards are integrated into our machine designs and operationalprocesses.

  • HACCP& Quality Management:Develop, implement, andcontinuously enhance the HACCP program, food quality managementsystems, and cleaning protocols tailored for our robotic kitchen’scommercialrollout.

  • Testing& Validation: Lead validation tests oningredients and finished products, conducting diagnostics andquality assessments to guaranteecompliance.

  • Cross-functionalCollaboration: Work with culinary and procurementteams to set ingredient specifications and oversee field audits,inspections, and quality controlmeasures.

  • SupplyChain Audits: Conduct and manage audits of externalsupply partners to ensure adherence to Circus’s qualitystandards.


BaseQualifications

  • Master’sdegree in Food Science, Agriculture, Environmental Health,Chemistry, Microbiology, or a relatedfield.

  • 10+ years inmulti-site food safety/QA management in the fresh/ultra-fresh foodsector.

  • Strong understandingof ISO 22000, IFS Certification, and food safety regulations forequipment.

  • Experience invendor management, food hygiene auditing, and developing continuousimprovement cleaningprograms.


PreferredQualifications

  • Proficiencyin German and prior experience withOKRs.

  • Lean Six Sigmatraining orcertification.

  • Familiaritywith quality management software (e.g., Safefood 360,Intelex).

  • Previousexperience in a fast-paced start-up or high-growthenvironment.
