Group Head of IT / CTO / CIO (Life Sciences)
A leading company in the life sciences and drug discovery sector is seeking an experienced Group Head of IT. This strategic role involves shaping and implementing a comprehensive Technology Roadmap to drive growth, optimize infrastructure, and enhance operational efficiency. This will suit IT leaders who have a transformational approach towards the impactful role of IT in thriving businesses.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a forward-thinking technology strategy aligned with the company’s long-term business goals.
- Oversee the integration and optimization of business systems to improve performance and data management.
- Lead cloud migration efforts with a hybrid architecture approach and manage high-performance computing clusters.
- Collaborate closely with business leaders to identify opportunities for process improvement and cost management.
- Ensure compliance with industry security standards through robust policies, regular testing, and vendor management.
Essential experience:
- Proven IT leadership experience, ideally within the life sciences or related fields.
- Expertise in IT infrastructure, security, and large-scale system transformation.
- Strong experience in cloud migration, data analytics, and high-performance computing.
- Extensive experience of working with outsourced IT environments.
- Commercially astute, with the ability to create and justify technology investment cases.
- Familiarity with private equity environments and a track record of successful change management.
- Proven experience of ERP selection & implementation.
