Join us as the Head of Tax Structure,Planning and Compliance at GoStudent, where you will play a crucialrole in recommending alternative tax treatments to alleviate orreduce the company's tax burden, handle tax accounting andreporting, and optimise VAT, CIT, and Commercial Tax for thegroup's legal entities, contracts and GoToMarket strategies. Youwill play a crucial role in preparing and maintaining tax records,returns, reports, and other related materials, ensuring compliancewith current tax legislation andpractices.

Your Role in OurJourney

  • Develop and executetax planning strategies aligned with the company's overallfinancial goals.
  • Monitor and assess the impactof new and existing tax laws on the company's operations andfinancials.
  • Review the group's legal entitystructure, contract setups and flow of goods to identify andoptimise VAT, CIT, and Commercial Tax.
  • Analyseservice and cash flow arrangements to ensure tax efficiency andcompliance.
  • Work closely with legal andfinancial teams to restructure entities and contracts asnecessary.
  • Continuously seek new ways ofworking to make tax processes run smoother andfaster.
  • Execute new and alternative ideas andapproaches to enhance tax functionefficiency.
  • Lead initiatives to automate andstreamline tax processes using the company's existing techstack.
  • Provide technical accounting guidanceand support on complex transactions.
  • Stayupdated with the latest accounting standards and updates to ensureaccurate financial reporting.
  • Collaborate withthe finance team to address technical accountingissues.
  • Look for ways to minimise theorganisation's tax liability through effective taxplanning.
  • Prepare, maintain, and analysecorporate tax documents to ensure accuracy andcompliance.

Yourimpact:

  • Bachelor's degree inAccounting, Finance, or a relatedfield.
  • Association of Chartered CertifiedAccountants (ACCA) or equivalent certificationpreferred.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experiencein tax accounting or related fields.
  • Strongknowledge of EU and country specific tax laws andregulations.
  • Excellent analytical andproblem-solving skills.
  • Proficient inaccounting software.
  • Strong communicationskills in English and German, both written andverbal.
  • Ability to work independently and aspart of a team.
  • Ability to work in afast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiplepriorities.
