Information Technology Security Manager

Our client, a global industry leader in their sector, is seeking an IT Security Manager to join their team in Mannheim (hybrid). The ideal candidate for this position will be confident, goal-orientated, and proactive, with strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 Security. ️



Your responsibilities:


  • Planning, executing, and overseeing initiatives to enhance the global information security strategy, including Microsoft 365 security, SAP/ERP security, network security, operational technology, penetration testing, and cyber awareness.
  • Developing and continuously improving security policies and protocols.
  • Supporting IT audits and implementing necessary security measures following audit findings.
  • Conducting risk assessments and analysing protection requirements.
  • Designing and implementing IT emergency response plans.
  • Evaluating cloud-based applications to ensure they meet security compliance standards.
  • Coordinating with external service providers and partner organisations.



Your Qualifications and Experience:


  • A completed degree in computer science, business informatics, economics with an IT focus, or a related field of study.
  • Proven experience in IT security, either within consultancy or a medium-sized business, preferably with international exposure.
  • Expertise in Microsoft 365 security, with knowledge of Microsoft Azure being highly advantageous.
  • Experience in project management is desirable.
  • Knowledge of SAP security and data protection would be beneficial.
  • Strong analytical and conceptual thinking, coupled with a proactive, hands-on approach and a goal-oriented mindset.
  • Self-motivation and autonomy in driving security initiatives forward.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills, with an enthusiasm for working in a global network.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English.
