As the Head of Controlling, you will oversee a dedicated team responsible for managing the finances of global support functions. In this pivotal role, you will drive globalization and internationalization initiatives while serving as a key liaison for board members and department heads. Your primary responsibilities will encompass budget preparation, method harmonization, and the seamless integration of new functions. Additionally, you will play a crucial role in coordinating controlling activities for the company headquarters.


Your Tasks:


  • Lead a highly skilled controlling team comprising experts in IT, Global Business Services (GBS), HR, and financial controlling.
  • Serve as the central point of contact for board members on financial matters.
  • Prepare and deliver insightful financial findings and recommendations to board members.
  • Collaborate closely with department heads to align financial strategies and goals with organizational objectives.
  • Provide strategic financial advice to contribute to the global success of the organization.
  • Oversee financial activities for IT, GBS, HR, and finance functions, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Harmonize strategies with organizational objectives to drive financial excellence.
  • Develop advanced strategies to enhance financial transparency and accuracy.
  • Ensure timely production of precise financial reports and dashboards.
  • Create budgets in ERP and consolidation tools in alignment with strategic goals.
  • Drive the harmonization and modernization of tools, methods, and processes.
  • Provide guidance and support in designing new financial functions.
  • Implement cost control measures for budget-compliant resource allocation.
  • Coordinate and manage controlling activities at the company headquarters.
  • Foster collaboration between central teams and decentralized financial units worldwide.
  • Ensure seamless integration of financial controls and global reporting.
  • Coordinate ad hoc financial analyses and projects as requested by the CFO or functional management.


Requirements:

  • Hold a degree in business studies or a related field, or possess comparable qualifications.
  • Demonstrate proven experience in financial management, controlling, or similar roles within international organizations, preferably applying global standards.
  • Exhibit strong leadership skills and the ability to lead and support a high-performing team.
  • Possess excellent negotiation and communication skills in diverse, multicultural environments.
  • Showcase strategic thinking and the ability to drive financial innovation and improvement at an international level.
  • Have expertise in financial software and ERP systems, including SAP modules SEM-BCS, BW, and FI-CO.
  • Proficient in English, both spoken and written, with excellent MS Office skills.
  • Familiarity with Thinkcell and other relevant systems is advantageous.
