The Office for Information Processing is the City of Cologne's innovative IT service provider. It combines forward-looking forms of work, an attractive office building, an interesting and diverse working environment and family friendliness in a modern atmosphere.
Among other things, the provision and proper and secure operation of the SAP basic components of the City of Cologne, the municipal drainage companies (StEB) as well as the building management and the stages of the City of Cologne are ensured here. It is responsible for the provision, availability and further development of business-critical specialist applications, in particular in the personnel management system under SAP HCM and in finance and accounting under SAP FI. The City of Cologne's SAP landscape has been successively expanded over the years and numerous modules have been added. SAP has increasingly developed into a strategic solution platform and a corporate information system for the City of Cologne. An SAP Competence Center was set up to meet these requirements. The implementation of SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), SAP SuccessFactors, SAP BTP and the transformation to SAP S/4HANA is accompanied by the increased use of cloud services, which pose completely new requirements in terms of user administration, system security, system architecture, data protection and process control.
We are looking for a committed, responsible and innovative personality as a specialist in the SAP Operations team.

YOUR FUTURE TASKS

YOU ..

  • are responsible for the connection and administration of cloud services for SAP ERP systems, BTP services (development, authentication, etc.), business warehouse solutions including SAC and dashboards
  • take care of data management
  • are responsible for managing, designing and monitoring SAP cloud services
  • take care of performance analysis and the analysis of errors and fault scenarios
  • are responsible for planning, designing and introducing city-wide cloud services
  • set up the cloud services for productive use
  • create authorization concepts for cloud services and update them
  • are responsible for cloud user maintenance
  • are responsible for planning and ensuring 24/7 operation, taking into account available resources and personnel regulations

YOUR PROFILE

YOU ..

  • have successfully completed a (specialist) university degree in a subject area relevant to the tasks to be performed (e.g. computer science or business informatics)

or

• proven equivalent skills and experience in the IT field.

WHAT ELSE IS IMPORTANT TO US

YOU ..

  • have at least 1.5 years of experience in the field described
  • have experience in the implementation of projects
  • have knowledge in the creation, conception and implementation of operational processes in the SAP environment
  • have several years of experience in operating cloud services
  • are experienced in the creation of rules and regulations and the preparation of documentation
  • have a high degree of initiative as well as a strong sense of responsibility, high resilience and above-average commitment and flexibility
  • have a very good team orientation, strong communication skills and negotiation skills
  • have gender competence and a commitment to diversity
  • have written and spoken English skills

WE OFFER YOU

A future-oriented job in Cologne with a modern employer with all the advantages of the public sector and a regulated weekly working time of 39 hours for employees covered by collective agreements or 41 hours for civil servants with a high degree of flexibility within the scope of office-specific possibilities. The position is permanent and is available both part-time and full-time.
The position is graded according to salary group A11 career group 2, 1st entry level LBesG NRW (Salary Act for the State of North Rhine-Westphalia, formerly higher service) or according to pay group 11 of the collective agreement for the public service (TVöD IKT).
The salary range in pay group 11 (TVöD-IKT) is currently between 4,032.38 euros (experience level 1) and 5,975.19 euros (experience level 6).
Your professional experience will be taken into account when assigning you to the experience level within the pay group, insofar as this is possible under collective bargaining law.
