Company Overview: MVP Match is collaborating with an innovative startup that is transforming the sales landscape through immersive virtual experiences. The company helps sales professionals create impressive, engaging presentations in remote settings using augmented reality (AR) technology. Their flagship product, developed in Unity, is accessible via mobile apps and webcams, enabling users to explore and experience physical products in a virtual room.

Targeting enterprise and mittelstand customers, the company has made significant strides, including developing an MVP and securing a first committed customer. As they prepare to showcase a proof of concept (PoC) prototype at a major conference in November, they are seeking a skilled Technical Product Owner to drive the product development process and ensure it aligns with customer needs and enterprise standards.

Role Overview: As a Technical Product Owner, you will bridge the gap between the engineering team and business stakeholders. You will be responsible for translating customer needs into well-documented backlogs, roadmaps, and actionable tasks. Your technical expertise and strong authority will be crucial in earning the respect of the engineering team and ensuring the successful execution of the product development strategy.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive product backlog, roadmap, and user stories.
  • Translate customer needs and strategic goals into detailed technical requirements.
  • Work closely with the engineering team to ensure the product meets technical and business requirements.
  • Facilitate communication between the engineering team and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Prioritize tasks and manage the development process to ensure timely delivery of milestones.
  • Document and refine product hypotheses, personas, customer journey, vision, value proposition, USPs, backlog, and roadmap.
  • Provide leadership and authority within the team to ensure alignment and focus.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Technical Product Owner or similar role in a technology-driven environment.
  • Strong technical background with knowledge of AR, Unity, and enterprise product integration.
  • Demonstrated success in managing product development for B2B SaaS products.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience in developing products for sales professionals and understanding sales processes.
  • Fluent in German and comfortable working with clients in Berlin, Munich, and Austria.

Engagement Details:

  • Availability: 2-3 days per week, with the ability to scale up to full-time during high-demand periods.
  • Starting: Latest by July 22.

Decision Making Criteria:

  • Experience with AR and Unity.
  • Proven track record in product management and development for enterprise applications.
  • Ability to develop a comprehensive product backlog, roadmap, and detailed user stories.
  • Strong leadership skills and technical authority to effectively manage and guide the engineering team.

Metrics for Success:

  • Successfully win and retain the first client.
  • Secure additional client logos for the testing phase.
