Seqos is a new private equity model, which first recruits CEO candidates and then acquires target businesses (EV: €10-50m). We are currently seeking an ambitious and highly skilled professional for a VP- Deal Sourcing / Corporate Development role. In this role, you will work closely with our executive team leading and delivering value on all aspects of the deal cycle and build relationships with business owners to find new investment opportunities. This position will require a diligent and result-oriented individual with a strong experience in M&A and an interest for private equity and entrepreneurship through acquisition (ETA).
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the sourcing and qualification of new deal opportunities
- Build deep relationships and network with C-Level executives and business owners
- Manage the pipeline of opportunities from origination to deal close
- Build and maintain strong relationships with investors, including institutional investors, family offices, and high-net-worth individuals
- Develop effective communication strategies to keep investors informed of deal progress and company performance
- Cultivate relationships with searchers and work together with them on deals
- Represent Seqos in management meetings and industry events
- Lead corporate development initiatives and support the execution of transactions
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field
- 2-3 years of experience in business/corporate development, investment banking, private equity, strategy consulting or a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment
- Experience in successfully building relationships, source new investment opportunities, executing transactions, managing processes and stakeholders along the deal cycle
- Strong understanding of corporate finance and valuation methodologies
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills in German and English
- Self-starter, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously under tight deadlines
- High level of integrity, dedication, attention to detail and a strong team player
