AWS is rapidly expanding out our remote sales function to drive growth across a set of AWS’ Enterprise customers, as well as the highest priority acquisition targets in the Enterprise Greenfield Segment. As an Account Executive at AWS, you are responsible for exercising acquisition skills, utilizing solution-specific targeted campaigns to help grow consumption of current and net-new AWS services. In this full sales-cycle quota carrying role, you will use your sales and technical experience to work proactively with our customers to accelerate their journey to the cloud.
In order to harness the innovation and scale of services AWS offers, you will leverage internal resources to engage with our customers to execute their strategic objectives in order to adapt to changing market trends.

AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector. The AWS Global Support team interacts with leading companies and believes that world-class support is critical to customer success. AWS Support also partners with a global list of customers that are building mission-critical applications on top of AWS services.

Key job responsibilities

  • Identifying and qualifying potential customers: Proactively research and identify businesses that could benefit from cloud-based solutions, evaluate their needs, and determine the feasibility of potential opportunities
  • Effectively communicating the value proposition: Develop a deep understanding of the cloud products and services offered, and be able to articulate the unique benefits and competitive advantages to prospective customers in a clear and compelling manner
  • Driving the sales process and closing deals: Manage the entire sales cycle, from initial contact to contract negotiation and closing, ensuring a seamless and positive customer experience that ultimately leads to successful new customer acquisitions

  • AWS Certification (Cloud Technologist, Solutions Architect, SysOps Administrator, Developer)
  • Knowledge of existing and developing technologies
  • Experience with CRM tools such as Salesforce, and web-based meeting applications
  • Experience in technical sales for B2B or in solution-sales / technology-related environment
  • Experience working with and presenting to C-level executives, IT, and lines of businesses across organizations or equivalent
