The role
We are seeking a driven and ambitious Data Analyst to join our growing Data Analytics team, based in Berlin. Our team provides support across all teams like Product, Sales and Operations by developing insights and enabling analytical and automated decision making. We build strong partnerships with key stakeholders and work on challenges such as defining, implementing and tracking company-wide metrics, and leading initiatives to improve them

What you'll be doing
Requirements gathering
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand and define data analytical requirements that will help driving business initiatives
- Define KPIs, success and health metrics in the context of product and business initiatives
Data collection and preparation:
- Identify relevant data sources and work with data and analytical engineers to source the right data into the analytics environment
- Prepare data to make it suitable for the analysis in context
Data exploration and analysis:
- Conduct exploratory data analysis to uncover patterns, trends, and insights
- Utilize statistical methods to extract actionable information from data
Visualization and reporting
- Design and create effective data visualizations to communicate insights and trends using traditional BI tools (Tableau, Metabase) and product analytics tools (mParticle Analytics)
Communication and collaboration
- Under supervision of a senior analyst communicate findings and recommendations to both technical and nontechnical audiences
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, data engineers, and product managers and decision makers
- Provide training and support to end users for interpreting and using data visualizations in a self-service manner effectively
What you'll bring
- 2 years of relevant experience interpreting data as an analyst or equivalent, preferably in the realm of product analytics
- Ability to translate business questions into analytical requirements and to derive conclusions or new hypothesis that are actionable by business counterparts
- Basic understanding of A/B testing methodology and statistical tests
- Some experience in stakeholder management, good communication and storytelling skills
- Experience in data transformation using Python and SQL
- Experience with different data visualization and reporting tools
- Plus: experience with dbt and product analytical tools (eg. Indicative, Amplitude)
