Great We are looking for an intern/trainee (m/f/d) to help with the Research and Development of new vaccine candidates based on viral vectors to shape Bavarian Nordics future vaccine products.

Boost our team in Virology Research

At our R&D site in Martinsried, Germany, you will have the opportunity to strengthen our small research team of highly motivated and dedicated scientists and technicians. Together, we study the biology of recombinant poxviruses to improve their production and use as vaccine vectors.

Founded in 1994, we have more than 25 years of experience in developing life-saving vaccines. We are a global leader in smallpox and mpox vaccines. Our commercial product portfolio contains market-leading vaccines against rabies and tick-borne encephalitis and an Ebola vaccine. Support planning, execution, and analysis of virological and cell biological experiments Generate and characterize novel recombinant virus vectors and cell lines including cloning, analyses of viral replication, gene expression, and gene function Assist in the maintenance of our continuous cell cultures and the cell bank Help in daily lab organization Document according to industry standards
Succeeding with our vision of becoming one of the largest pure-play vaccine companies in the world is no walk in the park, and that is why we need people like you who are determined to make it happen and have the following qualifications: Master student of biology/biotechnology or related life sciences with relevant background knowledge First experience in cell-based and molecular biology methods, including standard cell culture techniques Commitment and motivation towards applied research Enjoys methodical and self-reliant work in the laboratory Interested in gaining in-depth practical experience in virology, cell biology, and molecular biology in the environment of a commercial organization
