International, strategisch, individuell: Das ist der Masterstudiengang Tourism Development Strategies (TDS) an der Hochschule Stralsund. TDS ist ein wirtschaftswissenschaftliches Masterstudium mit einer Spezialisierung im Tourismus & Management. Die Komponenten Strategie und Entwicklung werden einzigartig miteinander kombiniert. Einzigartig ist auch die Struktur des Masterstudiums, denn in Abhängigkeit des Erst-Studiums könnt ihr bei uns flexibel in 2, 3 oder 4 Semestern studieren.

Die internationale Orientierung des Studienganges ist ein besonderes Plus. Englischsprachige Lehre sowie Studierende und Dozenten aus verschiedenen Ländern ermöglichen von Beginn an einen interkulturellen Austausch. Das besondere Highlight des Tourismus Masterstudiums stellt die internationale Exkursion (z.B. nach Island, Schweden oder Sri Lanka) dar, bei welcher zahlreiche Praxistermine und Destinationsentwicklung erlebbar werden. Nachhaltiges Lernen durch eigene Erfahrungen wird dabei ebenso durch außergewöhnliche Begegnungen mit anderen Kulturkreisen ermöglicht.

Kurzbeschreibung

Neben fachlichen Kenntnissen im Tourismus, in der BWL und im General Management erwerbt ihr bei uns Fähigkeiten und Methoden, die euch auf dynamische Veränderungen in Politik, Tourismuswirtschaft und Gesellschaft vorbereiten. Unser praxisnahes Masterstudium zielt darauf ab, euch zu verantwortlichem und eigenständigem Handeln zu befähigen. Deshalb stärken wir eure sozialen Kompetenzen genauso wie die Entwicklung eurer Persönlichkeit. Tourismus und Internationalität gehen Hand in Hand, so dass unser internationales englischsprachiges Master-Programm auch eure multikulturelle Kompetenz ausbaut.

Mit unserer strategischen Ausrichtung ermöglichen wir euch breite Jobperspektiven im In- und Ausland.
Wahlpflichtmodule eröffnen euch darüber hinaus die Möglichkeit, flexibel und in kleinen Lerngruppen indivuelle Schwerpunkte für die Karriere zu setzen.



Bei allen drei Studienwegen (2/3 oder 4 Semester) beginnt das Master-Studium jeweils im Wintersemester. Der Studiengang ist mit seinen vielen Projekten und Exkursionen international ausgerichtet. Ein besonderes Highlight ist unsere internationale Exkursion, welche im 1. Semester stattfindet. Im 2-semestrigen Masterstudium werden die Themen durchgängig in englischer Sprache, in den anderen Varianten in Englisch (85 %) und Deutsch (15 %) unterrichtet. Im 4-semestrigen Programm ist während des 3. Semesters ein Praktikum (21 Wochen) vorgesehen. Dieses Praktikum dient dazu, eure Fähigkeiten in den Bereichen BWL, oder/und im Tourismusmanagement auszubauen. Ein Semester im Ausland ist ebenfalls möglich. Im jeweils letzten Studiensemester erarbeitet ihr die Master-Thesis, die zu einer Promotion an einer Universität berechtigt.
