To accomplish our mission, we are looking for a Environmental and Sustainability Reporting Specialist (m/f/d) in Düsseldorf.

The Environmental and Sustainability Specialist will play a crucial role in our global ecological and sustainability initiatives. Collaborating with various teams, they'll initiate environmentally conscious measures and ensure adherence to ESG standards. The ideal candidate will facilitate the design and execution of initiatives aligning with our environmental objectives and responsibility. This position is perfect for individuals who are passionate about the environment, possess strategic thinking skills, and have expertise in carbon footprint monitoring. Additionally, they will oversee ESG endeavours related to the social and governance aspects in partnership with The Stepstone Group. Aufgaben

Data Analysis:

  • Collect, analyze, and interpret key ESG data to assess sustainability and DEI performance.
  • Collaborate with teams for precise ESG data collection, including carbon footprint.
  • Improve carbon calculation methods in line with industry standards.

Reporting Support:

  • Assist with ESG report preparation, ensuring accurate and complete data.
  • Develop visualizations and presentations for internal and external communication of ESG performance.
  • Perform double materiality assessment of The Stepstone Group's environmental and sustainability initiatives.

Research and Compliance:

  • Maintain compliance with global environmental regulations and support research on sustainability trends and best practices.
  • Maintain compliance with global DEI and other regulatory measures with an eye on 2024 through 2026.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Work with departments to collect ESG-related data. Help address ESG inquiries from stakeholders.
  • Propose CSRD-compliant targets for The Stepstone Group. Advise on reducing carbon footprint, waste, and resource use.

Project Support:

  • Assist with ESG project execution such as Gender Pay Gap analysis, demographic data collection, and other related tasks.
  • Collaborate with various teams to integrate ESG factors into business operations.

Profil
  • Relevant professional experience as a Reporting Specialist, preferably in a corporate environment or a consultancy
  • Experience in carbon accounting and understanding of carbon calculation methods
  • Knowledgeable in ESG reporting standards like CSRD and gender pay gap analysis
  • Understanding of sustainability metrics and KPIs
  • Willing to keep up with new ESG trends and data sources
  • Experiencing leading projects or owning end-to-end activities
  • Collaboration skills with an interest in the diverse needs of stakeholders to be addressed for aligning effective ways of management
