I am looking for a Strategic Account Manager with successful experience in the automotive domain to join a German start-up that works on modernizing and digitalizing automotive manufacturing.

You have experience in strategic development and expanding customer relationships in the automotive sector. Emotional intelligence and active listening enable you to successfully lead the existing customers across the finish line at the end of the sales cycle. The Sales Drive is an active part of your character. You are always curious and willing to pass on your knowledge and acquire further technical and product-relevant knowledge.

Even if you have no direct sales experience yet, but have in-depth technical knowledge in the field of engineering or are strongly networked in the domains of Research & Development (R&D), production and/or after-sales at automotive OEMs, you should read through this vacancy.

You will:

  • manage strategic customer relationships with international corporations from the German automotive industry in the premium segment and analyze the specific customer requirements for our intelligent software solutions
  • be responsible for creating client expansion strategies to expand and identify new business areas
  • develop and lead an account team consisting of 3-6 account executives and business development representatives
  • communicate with external stakeholders up to the CxO level from the respective automotive companies and carry out negotiations
  • create individual offers and guide your stakeholders confidently and with sensitivity to the successful conclusion of the contract
  • bring the sales drive with you, impress with your engineering background and/or your in-depth experience in the automotive industry

You have:

  • fluency in both spoken and written English and German;
  • 5+ years of experience in a cross-departmental role in a leading automotive or supplier company or have been able to build up relevant SaaS expertise at a leading management/strategy consultancy
  • university degree in engineering or business administration/business administration or relevant education
  • already successfully managed strategic software sales projects or have been significantly involved in their success
  • professional appearance and are confident in conducting complex negotiations with various stakeholders up to the C-level
  • foresightedness that enables you to work on a wide range of sales opportunities in parallel and prioritize them appropriately

The location of this position is in Berlin, but depending on the customer it can also involve moderate traveling but you can also work remotely if you live in another city in Germany.
