About the Company
We are a private company with strong local teams on site in all Western and Eastern European core markets. We are a large-scale project developer with over 35 years of experience in the field of renewable energies. As a developer, operator, and investor, we focus on photovoltaics, wind power, hydropower, and storage, developing a pipeline of over 15 GW(p). Our headquarters are in Vienna, Austria, and Madrid, Spain. For our newly founded office in Leipzig, we are looking for a PV project manager to strengthen our on-site team.
PV Project Manager (m/f/d)
You will report to the Country Manager, Germany. The new project manager will be responsible for the development of PV projects in the utility sector in Germany.
Your tasks:
- Carrying out and coordinating all necessary activities for the successful development of the projects with the aim of obtaining all the necessary approvals for the implementation of the projects.
- Leading and managing relationships with third parties, the "co-developers," and ensuring that the PV projects are always developed in accordance with our key technical/economic standards and comply with the key terms of the development services agreement.
- Supporting the Country Manager in negotiating preliminary property contracts (e.g., lease and/or purchase contracts) to ensure that the contracts always meet our criteria.
- Developing and evaluating preliminary plans (including those of co-developers) and proposing technical solutions to maximize the production capability of the facility/optimize the project layout.
- Critically assessing the technical documentation prepared by the co-developers with the aim of delivering a "high quality" result (documentation always in accordance with "BAT" and international/national technical frameworks).
- Building and maintaining excellent relationships with local stakeholders, including landowners and local partners (e.g., co-developers, engineering firms, agronomists, etc.)
- Proactively supporting the development of new opportunities by identifying and securing the land required to implement PV projects.
- Ensuring the most economical MV/HV grid connection and managing the application process for obtaining grid capacity with local DNO/TSO as well as working with co-developers/engineering offices.
- Leading and coordinating the process of planning the MV/HV substations required to power the projects.
Our requirements:
- Engineering degree (electrical engineering, civil engineering, etc.) or comparable.
- Advanced knowledge of the technical guidelines that apply to PV projects in Germany.
- At least 3 years of experience as a project manager in the field of renewable energy, especially solar PV projects.
- High communication and negotiation skills.
- Good knowledge of English and German, both spoken and written.
