The Delivery Service Partnerships Manager serves as an advisor and operating partner to Delivery Service Partners (DSP's) within Amazon Logistics, assisting them in building and growing successful last mile package delivery businesses. They play a key role in kickstarting new businesses and ensuring excellence, guiding partners to improve their operations. The role involves finding value-creation opportunities, managing the DSP relationship, focusing on areas like safety, compliance, performance, and capacity.


The Delivery Service Partnerships Manager collaborates with DSPs to address challenges, influence business planning, and ensure effective decision-making, aiming for success and quality delivery. They work closely with a portfolio of owners, drive strategy, track performance metrics, and engage with internal stakeholders to support owners and improve network practices.


This role requires flexibility and travel to engage with business owners weekly at various sites.


Key Job Responsibilities
  • Identifying workflow inefficiencies and implementing operational improvements
  • Enhancing the relationship between Amazon and DSP partners
  • Communicating closely with DSP business owners
  • Being the voice of the DSP within the business
  • Coaching and upskilling owners
  • Identifying customer metric improvement opportunities
  • Ensuring consistent application of Last Mile processes
  • Improving driver standards
  • Partnering with OTR Safety for business safety compliance
  • Guiding owners in scaling their business and managing operational issues
  • Supporting owners during onboarding and launching processes
  • Coaching owners to run compliant, safe, and high-performing companies

About the Team

Amazon Logistics handles 'last mile' delivery with creative thinking and continuous improvement initiatives. The team focuses on providing customers with a smooth delivery experience and developing global delivery solutions for concepts like Amazon Fresh and Prime Now.


There are two key aspects to the team's operations: 'under the roof' associates processing products and 'on the road' people working with Amazon Flex. The team constantly innovates to enhance customer experience and address logistics challenges while aiming to reduce the carbon footprint.


The role is open in locations including Berlin, Dortmund, Duisburg, Dusseldorf, Essen, Kaiserslautern, Munich, Olching, Paderborn, and Wuppertal.


BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience in Operations, Last Mile delivery, account/relationship management, or retail/logistics
  • Experience with third-party resources and contingent workforce
  • Analytical capability and proficiency in English and German

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience in process improvements
  • Project planning ability in dynamic environments
  • Strong communication skills
  • Enjoyment of analytical work and problem-solving
  • Proven record of helping teams achieve goals
