Our team values the important role played by our last-mile delivery partners in ensuring timely deliveries of both big and small packages.

As a Third Party Logistics Manager, your main role will revolve around establishing strong relationships with our partners.

You will be responsible for building connections, assisting them in implementing efficient delivery processes, and resolving any challenges they may encounter, all aimed at fostering a long-term successful partnership.

Key job responsibilities:

  • Safety: Collaborating with Safety and Regional Managers to guarantee safety compliance.
  • Performance: Supporting business owners in scaling their operations and addressing operational issues, ensuring they are well-equipped to scale up operations and prepare for busy periods.
  • Performance: Providing guidance to owners during onboarding and preparing for the program launch.
  • Performance: Coaching business owners to run high-performing and compliant companies.
  • Identifying operational inefficiencies and implementing improvements at the network level.
  • Enhancing the relationship between Amazon and our partners.
  • Aligning communication with business owners.
  • Advocating for partners within the AMZL business.
  • Coaching partners on effective tool utilization.
  • Identifying opportunities for customer metric enhancements.
  • Ensuring consistent application of Last Mile processes.
  • Enhancing driver standards to uphold the brand image.

A day in the life:

You will be stationed at one of our sites to closely oversee the delivery process and guide our logistics partners effectively.

Being on site enables you to monitor all aspects of partner relationships, from contract management to performance tracking.

This role heavily emphasizes clear communication, as you will interact daily with the partners you oversee to ensure smooth and timely deliveries.

About the team:

Amazon Logistics, or AMZL, collaborates with third-party distribution businesses for 'last mile' delivery services.

Our team employs innovative strategies and continuous improvement initiatives to deliver millions of products to our customers.

We strive to provide a seamless delivery experience while implementing global delivery solutions for services like Amazon Fresh, Prime Now, and Amazon Restaurants.

We tackle logistics challenges and aim to reduce our carbon footprint through inventive ideas and cutting-edge vehicles and technology.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Relevant degree.
  • Experience in Operations, Last Mile, account/relationship management, or retail logistics.
  • Experience working with third-party resources on a national scale.
  • Experience managing a contingent workforce.
  • Proficiency in written and verbal German.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in implementing process improvements through Lean process, Kaizen, or Six Sigma.
  • Effective communication with various stakeholders.
