JOB TITLE: Area/Shift Manager at Amazon
As an Area/Shift Manager at Amazon, you lead a large, diverse team and ensure that your business area always keeps up with the demand. In this hands-on role, you become familiar with the complex operating procedures of a global company and learn what is needed to keep everything running smoothly. Together with your colleagues, you work to increase productivity and face challenges. No two days are the same.
Key Responsibilities:
- Promoting a culture of safety and well-being
- Analysis and implementation of corrective measures to consistently ensure high quality and productivity as well as cross-shift adherence to all company goals
- Supporting and leading a team and handling administrative tasks; building and supporting a strong team culture
- Performance analysis and suggestions for process improvements to optimize workflows and customer service
- Collaborating with other managers to standardize shift processes
A Day in the Life:
You work in different shifts at one of our operational locations. You mainly focus on ensuring safety standards are met by your team and throughout your entire location. You also monitor process efficiency. Priorities in your daily work include routine team management and daily operational activities. In addition to other tasks such as escalations in individual cases, process improvements, and cross-operational emergency planning.
As an important member of the operating team, you work with colleagues from other teams as well as external partners to ensure that we meet the requirements of our customers and our own standards at all times. This includes analyzing data and performance indicators together with executives in your business area, as well as discussing the operational pros and cons of technical improvements with the technical team.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree or close to completing a Bachelor's degree
- Advanced English and German language skills in both verbal and written communication
- Relevant experience in data analysis
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in communicating with various stakeholders, including colleagues and executives
- Experience in a logistics environment
- Experience working with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) in a professional setting
