Key Responsibilities- Lead a High-Performing Team: You will be responsible for leading a team of operations professionals to achieve exceptional results in terms of productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction.
- Drive Process Improvements: You will identify areas for improvement and implement changes to streamline processes, optimize productivity, and increase quality of service for customers.
- Analyze and Improve Shift Performance: You will analyze shift performance against relevant business objectives and implement actions to improve operational excellence.
- Collaborate with Management: You will work collaboratively with management-level colleagues to standardize shift practices and drive consistency across the organization.
As an Area Manager, you will work on a shift pattern at one of our Fulfillment Centres, ensuring that it is as productive as possible. Your main focus will be to own and drive a culture of safety and uphold quality and shift performance standards.
You will also oversee process improvements within your area and drive implementation. A typical day will be varied, including routine team management, daily operational responsibilities, process improvement, and wide-scale operational contingency tasks.
About the TeamOur Customer Fulfillment team is the foundation of our business, handling over 1.5 million orders every day. We are a sophisticated global team that has scaled up from a humble team of booksellers to a dynamic and fast-paced organization.
We are based in Fulfillment Centres, which are at the heart of Amazon's Operations network. Our centres are sometimes referred to as the 'First Mile' because it's where most Amazon packages start their journey.
Requirements- Relevant Experience: You will have relevant experience in people management, communication with stakeholders, and data analysis to influence business decisions.
- Advanced Proficiency: You will have advanced proficiency in verbal and written English and Arabic is mandatory.
- Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen: Experience working with Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen techniques is preferred.
- Logistics Environment: Experience working in another logistics environment is preferred.
- MS Office Suite: Relevant experience working with the MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) in a professional environment is preferred.
