- Act as a trusted advisor for senior client leaders in the German energy retail business, helping them identify, assess, design, and implement solutions to their most complex business challenges, such as:
- Advising on major industry changes like the retail price cap and the transition to Net Zero,
- Improving commercial outcomes,
- Re-engineering customer experience,
- Defining future strategy across retail energy and networks industry sectors,
- Implementing and adapting to the latest industry developments such as Electric Vehicles, AI & Machine Learning, cloud-based billing, and data or CRM platforms.
- Responsible for scoping and delivering complex, multi-faceted change programmes under challenging market conditions, often in high-visibility, industry-impacting areas.
- Lead blended project teams of Baringa and client personnel.
- Ensure robust project and client account management, including delivery quality assurance, billing, and collections.
- Play an active role in Baringa's European and UK Retail, Networks, and Water leadership team, contributing to group strategy and managing key opportunities and risks by:
- Leading a key People initiative, making Baringa a better and more inclusive place to work,
- Leading a key Commercial initiative, driving Baringa's growth and client impact,
- Being an active and visible leader for a division of 100 team members.
- Coach and develop junior staff both directly and indirectly, fostering an inclusive and high-performance culture.
- Proven track record in a consulting firm, with the ability to build, grow, and manage key client accounts while identifying, developing, and launching compelling client propositions.
- Deep understanding of the German energy retail market, including strategy, commercial aspects, technology, and business operations.
- Experience in leading diverse, multi-skilled teams to successfully deliver complex and large-scale projects, with expertise in people, technology, and/or process change.
- Ideally, a proven record of strong and trusted networks across the German energy retail market, founded on excellence in stakeholder management.
- Experienced leader of high-performing teams, demonstrating strong coaching and performance management skills while fostering a strong sense of inclusivity and community.
- Essential: You will have advanced (C1) language skills in German and English.
