We are happy to announce that Manifesto Market Potsdamer Platz is looking for a friendly and customer-oriented Sommelier

Manifesto is a sustainable and cashless food hub that gathers local gastro entrepreneurs, artisans, and Michelin-recommended chefs in one exciting place.

Manifesto will open Europe's largest food hub in Berlin at Potsdamer Platz, which brings together 22 restaurants, 4 bars, a wine bar, and a vibrant music and entertainment stage.

About The Opportunity:

  • We are looking for a Sommelier to lead the team of our wine bar for the opening of Manifesto Berlin.
  • You will report directly to the Manager of Bars and the Food & Beverage Director.

You will:

  • Curate the Menu offering of the wine bar, and maintain an uptodate wine cellar.
  • Ensure SOPs are set and done.
  • Arrange tastings and wine events.
  • Manage the daily operations of the bar.
  • Hire, train, and manage the wine bar team.
  • Ensure every experience is special for our guests.
  • Work closely with the Waiters/Waitresses, and Operation Managers.
  • Coordinate Stocks, suppliers, purchases, and collaborations with Bar Manager.

For this job you need:

  • Minimum 2 Years of Experience as a Sommelier.
  • WSET 2 or SIHK Sommelier Certification or above.
  • Have experience in European and German wines.
  • You are passionate about delivering a high standard of service for our guests.
  • You are able to stay positive and calm under pressure and rush hours.
  • Fluent in English and good command of German.
  • To be considered for this role, you should have a right to work in Germany. We do
not provide relocation services.
