About the Position: This position is with the Defense Commissary Agency in Ramstein Germany. This position is located in the European Area, Defense Commissary Agency (DeCA). The purpose of this position is to serve as a Consumer Safety Officer (CSO) for the Defense Commissary Agency. Incumbent audits food safety and public health programs, performs inspections of facilities to ensure compliance with food safety and public health regulations, recommends corrective actions for deficiencies.



Duties
  • Serve as the Consumer Safety Officer for the Central Meat Processing Plant and for the Defense Commissary Agency European Area.
  • Investigates Foodborne illness concerns for the region.
  • Serves authority for all food safety and sanitation contractual compliance, plans, directs and coordinates day-to-day inspection activities and compliance for Defense Commissary Agency Europe.
  • Audits food safety and public health programs, perform inspections of facilities to ensure compliance with food safety and public health hazards, sanitation issues, food defense deficiencies and with implementing programs.
