Director of Academic and Student Services (DASS)
SRH International College (SRHIC) is the latest addition to our fast-growing portfolio across Europe and in partnership with SRH Universities, based in Heidelberg. As the Director of Academic and Student Services (DASS) you will have a key leadership role within SHRIC and will assist the College Director to effectively manage the development and delivery of its learning and teaching as well as academic and student services provision. This incorporates responsibilities for building and leading a new team of academic services staff and academic teaching staff that will effectively set up and manage the learning and teaching, student records and student support structures of the college in collaboration with SRH.
The Director of Academic and Student Service role is a vital part of a successful student experience and requires high energy and commitment to ensuring that the services and support provided to students are the best possible. You will focus on managing the key aspects of the student life-cycle with regards to academic processes and regulations, student performance and intervention strategies to assure each student maximises their learning experience and potential. As DASS you will also support the College’s critical work in recruiting and supporting teaching staff, and coordinating the set up and use of Learning Management Software management (Moodle). You will also be responsible for timetabling, contracts and fulfilling key HR and finance functions for the College.
Underpinning responsibilities include effective governance and compliance and ensuring effective levels of service to our students covering areas such as organising examinations, internal quality and control and student voice activities and feedback. It will be important to work with our central compliance team and the university partner to ensure timely and accurate provision all student and budget related data.
The DASS will assist the CDP with the implementation of the Colleges’ 5-year strategy, ensuring that key performance indicators are achieved which include student satisfaction, student retention, student achievement and student progression.

Key responsibilities:
- Manage data analysis and review in relation to Module performance and curriculum reviews
- Manage academic progression arrangements from the College to the Partner University
- Coordinate the set up and use of Learning Management Software (Moodle) and provide support for teachers and coordinate regular audits
- Lead the management of examinations processes for the College
- Manage the effective and efficient academic reporting to Module Panels and Progression Boards
- Lead the administration processes for intermissions, exceptional circumstances (mitigation) as well as extensions and misconduct
- Manage internal and external moderation processes
- Lead and coordinate all timetabling and teaching space allocation in liaison with the University Partner
- Coordinate students’ wellbeing programme and the College’s 24/7 out-of-hours response programme
- Ensure effective student communication via portals and other media/online technologies/social media
- Coordinate the development and implementation of an effective and enjoyable orientation programme in line with the University Partner
- Manage student complaints, conduct and appeals process
- Ensuring that student records management system accurate reflects up to date student data
- Processing student refund requests, transfers and reconciliations
- Administration of the day-to-day finance function of the College to include invoicing and purchase orders
