Practice Area Profile
Through People & Organization, BCG works with our clients - senior business executives - who value BCG's strategic, fact-based, and impact-oriented approach supported by senior teams, rich benchmarking databases and analytical capabilities. We provide expertise to our clients across all industries through our capabilities in areas like Organization Design; Change Management; Shared Services and Support Functions; Culture, Purpose and Engagement; Leadership & Talent; and Agile Ways of working.
What You'll Do
BCG is looking for a Consultant to successfully meet our clientsâ demand for deep expertise, and advanced capabilities in People & Organization topics. We are looking for outstanding candidates to join one of our offices in Germany or Austria. Ideal candidates have passion for and expertise in People & Organization topics, especially People Strategy, Talent, Culture & Leadership across one or multiple industries. As a Consultant, you will be given end-to-end responsibility within a BCG project, and begin to develop specialized knowledge to help you solve our clientsâ problems. Youâll work closely with clients to understand their issues, create strategies for change, win buy-in for your recommendations, and collaborate with fellow BCGers to transform client potential into performance. Your role will include:
  • Working jointly with your BCG colleagues and the client project teams, bringing expertise to the team and to the client on site
  • Working independently at a module level on select topics
  • You will have the opportunity to delve deeper into specific areas of expertise within People & Organization field
  • Support case teams, especially those with need for deep expertise and a hands-on approach
  • Contribute to the quality of the work, question results with sanity checks and with the project team
  • Becoming a member of our global practice area engaging with colleagues beyond projects across topics and geographies
  • Educate and inform clients proactively about state-of-the-art technologies, methodologies and tools within People & Organization Practice and how it can bring value to their business


What You'll Bring (Experience & Qualifications)
  • Minimum 4 years of functional or consulting experience in delivering value to internal or external customers and clients
  • Deep expertise and knowledge across People & Organization topics, with a special focus on People Strategy, leadership, culture, talent, reskilling, and HR
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills to interact with internal and external stakeholder while working in a global collaborative team environment
  • Excellent persuasion skills to interact at high levels and manage stakeholders
  • Analytical and structured with excellent problem-solving skills
  • Actively managing multiple client and stakeholder relationships and networking within the client organization in order to understand their needs and help to influence the client agenda is part of your business
  • Flexibility, ability to work under pressure and willingness to travel frequently are necessary
  • You have an exceptionally good academic background, ideally from a leading university
  • You have strong communication skills in German and English
