What you’ll do
We are seeking a UX Designer to assist us in developing highly innovative Artificial Intelligence (AI) capabilities in the field of process management and process mining. In this role, you will collaborate with product design, product management, development teams and various stakeholders to identify, conceive, assess, deliver, and enhance AI use cases that enable our users to complete their tasks more efficiently.
By utilizing state-of-the-art LLM engines, our AI services empower users to optimize process designs, identify areas for improvement, and establish connections between the appropriate data, individuals, systems, and resources to accelerate business transformations.
Your expertise in multimodal interaction design, collaboration skills, and systems thinking will enable you to co-create solutions that are both innovative and aligned with the SAP Design System's central guidance.
 
Key Responsibilities & Tasks
1. Lead AI-Driven User Experience Design:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, product designers, data scientists, and business stakeholders, to define, align and direct the user experience strategy for AI-driven features across our SAP Signavio Process Transformation Suite and its capabilities.

Identify opportunities to leverage AI technologies to improve user experience, streamline complex business processes management tasks, and drive user adoption.

Enable UX Designer in leveraging the AI super power where it brings the biggest value to our end-users

Conduct user research, analyze user feedback, and gather insights to inform the design process and ensure the end product meets user needs and expectations.

 
2. Design and Prototype:
Co-create and provide design direction for clear and visually appealing user interfaces (UI) and user interactions (UX) for AI-powered features, ensuring a seamless and engaging user experience across modalities.

Develop wireframes, interactive prototypes, and user flows to effectively communicate design concepts and quickly gather feedback from stakeholders.

Apply industry as well as SAP best practices in information architecture, interaction design, and visual design to create user-centric and consistent solutions.

 
3. Collaborate with Stakeholders:
Work closely with product managers, product designers, engineers, and business stakeholders to understand their requirements, goals, and constraints, and translate them into effective design solutions.

Facilitate workshops, design sprints, and user testing sessions to gather insights and align stakeholders on design decisions.

Present design concepts and recommendations to stakeholders, incorporating feedback and iterating on designs based on user and business needs.

 
4. Drive Innovation and Continuous Improvement:
Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in AI, SAP specific AI guidelines, user experience design, and cloud software development, and proactively identify opportunities to enhance our product offering.

Contribute to the development and maintenance of SAP wide design guidelines, patterns, and best practices to ensure consistency and quality of AI features across the SAP product portfolio.

 
What you'll bring

• A degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Interaction Design or a related field
• Proven track record (minimum 6 years) as a User Experience Designer, preferably with experience on working with AI technologies as well as system design to align design efforts across teams.
• Strong portfolio showcasing your expertise in designing complex B2B software, preferably including AI-driven features
• Expert knowledge of user-centered design principles and methodologies  
• Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Figma
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and German (optional)
• Strong collaboration and facilitation skills, with the ability to effectively present and articulate design concepts to stakeholders to influence and lead discussions
• Demonstrated ability to take the trigger, lead, and drive discussions to push the boundaries of AI driven user experiences while taking business goals into account
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Basic HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript skills are a plus.
