International and Diversity Advisor

Your tasks
  • You will advise the General Director on the further development of diversity-oriented programme in relation to decolonial methodological practice.
  • You will take an active part in national and international discourses on the role of cultural institutions in the 21st century, in particular on the culture and politics of remembrance, and utilise this knowledge for the work of the Humboldt Forum.
  • You provide support to the management and programme departments with regard to the topics of intercultural competence and diversity and with the aim of fostering a diversity-oriented working atmosphere.
  • You will support the further development of diversification strategies for communication, audiences, partnerships and staff.
Your profile
  •  You have a university degree (BA, MA or PhD) or equivalent skills and experience.
  • You are fluent in German and English (written and spoken), and ideally one other language.
  • You are familiar with current debates on diversity, coloniality and the culture of remembrance.
  •  You have outstanding skills in intercultural work and have relevant experience in international work contexts in the field of diversity management, arts and culture.
  •  You have methodological tools for transformational processes in institutions, as well as strong coordination and organisational skills, flexibility and creativity.
  • You have practical experience and skills in integrating marginalised and affected perspectives in cultural institutions. 
  • Ideally, you have an active local and international network in the context of these activities.
  •  You are competent in interface tasks (communication and negotiation skills, reconciliation of interests, conflict resolution and moderation).

  • Salary and social benefits will conform to the provisions of the Collective Agreement for the Public Service (TVöD-Bund), pay group EG 13, depending on the applicant’s qualifications and the precise nature of the tasks assigned to them.
