Assortment Planning Manager (m/f/d) – Hamburg

The Assortment Planning Manager is leading the NOEU assortment strategy across all seasonal stages from line planning to buying/producing and sales analysis/post-mortem for a collection/group of collections. The role translates global strategy into actionable cluster trading strategy; including financial planning for the product development and sell-in strategy.

This role focuses on partnering with cross-functional teams both within Cluster and globally to deliver financial results, maximize profits and analyse competitors and trends.

 

Cluster Line Plan:

  • Using historical performance, in-season sales, cluster plans and Global Business Unit strategies to create seasonal plans
  • Working cross-functionally to finalize the assortment plan and monitor financial impact from global assortment plans and local requirements
  • Owning product life-cycle and end of season exit strategies

 

Cluster Hindsight, Reporting, Analysis:

  • Reviewing market and in-season sales performance; developing strategies to improve KPIs and meet Cluster needs, whilst informing global future direction
  • Being main point of contact for reporting final cluster buys for all channels both within the Cluster and with global teams
  • Coordinating cross-functionally to revise assortment plans based on in-season sales insights and monitor in-season sales to identify opportunities
  • Being expert and having deep knowledge of category and DV performance, monetizing trends into strong merchandising actions
  • Leading weekly trade and leveraging trade to inform future commercial protection of best sellers

 

Merchandise Financial Forecasting:

  • Planning/forecasting the total assortment (BASE and NPI) for a collection/collections and translate global strategies to seasonal cluster financial objectives

 

Product margin:

  • Aligning with global CIS and pricing team to set cluster pricing strategies; and ensuring delivery of agreed margin targets (gross; and net-after promotions) for the collection/group of collections being managed

  • You are a strong, seasoned, technical Merchandise Planner with global vertical retailing and omnichannel experience of ideally 5+ years
  • You preferably hold a degree in Economics, Finance, Business Administration, Fashion Merchandising or similar
  • You must have strong business acumen and be relentlessly commercial, fact-based and analytical
  • You are people-smart, can collaborate cross-functionality and geographically, additionally you are able to maintain strong working relationships with peers
  • Your strong analytics skills make you able to manage large sets of data and present results in a simple manner
  • You are flexible and adaptive to changing priorities, which makes you able to perform under pressure, organise and prioritise workload to meet deadlines
  • Your excellent verbal and written communication skills help
