Well, we have an exciting opportunity for a Head of Marketing to join us on an initial 6 month contract, based in Germany with hybrid working patterns.
As our Head of Marketing, you will be responsible for leading the development and execution of Primark’s end to end Marketing Strategy for Germany & Austria. Our German business is undergoing a turnaround plan and you will play a key role in delivering our brand reappraisal alongside the German leadership team.
Your key objectives will be to:
- Deliver Marketing Strategies and Plans in line with global brand strategy to achieve key local marketing metrics including brand awareness, consideration and footfall.
- Deploy various marketing communication channels to strategically build a brand, drive footfall, create attention and generate user advocacy on a localised level.
- Develop highly creative marketing campaigns and implement innovative ideas in ways that drive footfall, create significant social sharing and brand awareness.
- Use Insight and analytics along with retail metrics to build solid marketing objectives and plans.
- Lead a team on the ground to create best in class marketing capability to drive brand awareness.
- Enable Primark to build solid foundations and marketing capability to set the brand up for future success.
- Review agencies and suppliers and advise on long-term partnerships
As the ideal candidate for this role, you will have the following skills and experience:
- Senior leadership in a marketing role within a retail business is essential
- Strong understanding of the German media landscape
- Experience of translating a global central strategy into local market
- Experience delivering paid advertising campaigns and measuring the return on investment
- Ability to work cooperatively with other internal stakeholders, including business leads, product and creative teams
- Strong English speaking skills
Please note, this is a hybrid working role with 2-3 days per week based in either Dusseldorf or Essen. There will also be the need to travel to the UK and Republic of Ireland once per month.
We are also looking for a seasoned freelancer with a strong track record of freelancing in Germany and portfolio of clients.
