Job Description

We are seeking Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead our company through its next phase of growth. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in biopharma, with specific experience in oncology and business development. This role requires a leader who is adept at navigating the complexities of drug development, regulatory pathways, and strategic partnerships.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute the company’s long-term strategy, ensuring alignment with short-term and long-term objectives aimed at commercial success and stakeholder value.
  • Business Development: Actively seek and secure partnerships with pharmaceutical companies, negotiate strategic alliances, and maintain strong professional relationships with key industry players.
  • Operational Oversight: Oversee daily operations, ensuring development milestones of our small molecule assets are met efficiently and effectively.
  • Financial Management: Secure funding through venture capital, grants, or other financing methods to support development and operational activities. Manage budgeting, financial planning, and resource allocation to maximize profitability.
  • Regulatory and Clinical Strategy: Work closely with regulatory bodies to navigate the path to drug approval, and strategically plan and oversee clinical trials.
  • Team Leadership and Development: Build, motivate, and lead a high-performing team to achieve excellence in research, development, and commercialization.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Communicate effectively with the Board of Directors, shareholders, and other stakeholders to keep them informed of progress and challenges.

Required Skills

Qualifications:

Proven experience as a CEO, CBO partnership leading executive within the biopharmaceutical industry, preferably in oncology.

Extensive knowledge of the biopharmaceutical regulatory landscape, especially pertaining to oncology drug development.

Advanced Life Science degree or MBA

Strong track record in establishing and managing partnerships with big pharma.

Demonstrated ability to raise funds and manage financial resources.

Excellent leadership, negotiation, and organizational skills.

PhD, MD, or equivalent in a relevant field is preferred.
