Regional Lead (gn) Financial Planning and Analysis

SoftwareOne’s Software & Cloud Services business unit represents a compelling growth opportunity for the company. The division represents roughly half of the company’s total revenue. Finance support will be essential to this transformational journey and, thus SoftwareOne seeks to recruit a proven, hands-on finance professional to serve as the FP&A Regional Lead reporting directly to the Divisional CFO Software & Cloud Services. Based in Germany, this role will serve as a FP&A regional business partner and will oversee revenue and will be accountable for cost of delivery for the Region. This role will oversee the Region’s Services P&L while partnering with Regional Services Leadership, Service Line Leadership and Regional Finance. In addition to the day-to-day responsibilities this role will be important in assisting with the execution of finance transformation that is underway. The successful candidate will have relevant experience with global organizations and experience working with teams internationally. Cultural awareness and ability to partner across countries will be critical to the success of this role.

The role

Responsible for the integral finance function as a finance business partner to Regional Services leader and coordination of the FP&A processes. Assist with planning processes including annual budgeting, monthly forecasting, and weekly pipeline and backlog reviews. Support budget holders on preparing operating budgets. Responsible for overseeing revenue deviations drivers and delivery capacity planning/review and analysis by Service line for the region. Understand and own the consumption-based costing/standard costing for Services organization within the Region which will be integral to the success of the Services business profitability. Work hand in hand with Regional Finance organization to align on Revenue as well as sales costs impacting profitability of Services Business within the Region. Work closely with Divisional CFO on driving the continuous improvement initiatives regarding processes, technologies to deliver on business needs.

What we need to see from you
  1. University degree in the field of finance, economics, business informatics or a comparable degree.
  2. More than 5+ total years of controlling or FP&A experience. Technology industry preferred.
  3. Full P&L experience required of a large global corporation.
  4. Excellent skills in presenting complex data and facts in a comprehensible manner and converting them into actionable insights.
  5. Strong collaboration and teamwork skills with effective relationship building and ability to influence change and improve processes.
  6. Confident in using MS-Office (especially Excel and Power Point).
  7. Experience in working with database systems.
  8. Strong communication and presentation skills at management level.
  9. Self-starter with strong work ethic and a passion for a fast-paced environment.
  10. Attention to details, analytical mindset, high degree of organization and time management, ability to manage multiple priorities, and display of problem-solving skills.
  11. Fluent in German and have a good command of written and spoken English.
